FAS AND GOVERNMENT OF THE KHANTY-MANSIISKY AUTONOMOUS DISTRICT – YUGRA DISCUSSED MEASURES TOWARDS DEVELOPING COMPETITION IN THE REGION

Deputy Head of FAS Alexei Dotsenko held meetings with Vice-Governors, Chief Federal Inspector for the region and the officers of Khanty-Mansiisky OFAS

On 8 November, Deputy Head of FAS Alexei Dotsenko was on a working visit to Khanty-Mansiisky Autonomous District – Yugra.

He presented a new Head – Ruzalin Khabibullin - to the staff of the Office ofthe Federal Antimonopoly Service in Khanty-Mansiisky Autonomous District - Yugra.

In the course of the staff meeting, Deputy Head of FAS discussed prophylactics and prevention of antimonopoly violations, the practice of control over public procurement and judicial proceedings, market analysis and FAS HR policy, the work in the region on pursuing the Presidential Order that approved the National Plan for Developing Competition in the Russian Federation.

“The key targets of the National Plan include: reducing the number of violations of the antimonopoly law by the authorities at least twofold; increasing the share of public procurement from small and medium business and making sure that at least three entities are operate in all segments of the economy, one of them must be a private company. These goals can be achieved in the entire Russia only through consistent efforts in each regions in a close cooperation with the regional authorities”, concluded Alexei Dotsenko.

During the working visit, Deputy Head of FAS also held meetings with Chief Federal Inspector for Khanty-Mansiisky Autonomous District – Yugra, Dmitry Kuzmenko; First Deputy Governor of the Khanty-Mansiisky Autonomous District – Yugra, Gennady Bukhtin; and Director of the Economic Development Department, Deputy Governor of the Khanty-Mansiisky Autonomous District – Yugra, Nikolai Milkis.

The meeting with the new Head of Khanty-Mansiisky OFAS focused in detail on implementing the Road Map for developing competition in the region.
