FAS Centre for Education and Methodics hosted a workshop on “Implementing antimonopoly compliance by the authorities and local self-government bodies. The results of implementing the Competition Development Standard”. More than 300 representatives of 51 regions attended the event.
Head of FAS Legal Department Andrey Molchanov gave a report on the National Competition Development Plan as a strategy for economic growth and development of the Russian Federation. He described the aspects of work associated with organizing an in-house system of compliance with the antimonopoly law by regional executive authorities and local self-government bodies.
Representatives of the Kaluga region, “PepsiCo” and “Baltika” shared experiences of successful implementation of antimonopoly compliance.
The second part of the workshop focused on implementing the Competition Development Standard in the regions of Russia.
Deputy Head of FAS Fiscal Control Department, Elena Rybachenko highlighted Standard implementation in the regions and gave information about achieving the targets set for the regions on socially important markets.
She clarified that the objectives for the regions in 2019 include mainstreaming regional and municipal Road Maps for competition development in view of the key targets set by the regions.
Andrey Molchanov pointed out that 100% regions approved and coordinated the lists of the key competition development targets; some regions already made the relevant changes to the Road Maps in spite of the fact that the new version of the Competition Development Standard is not approved yet.
