FAS is carrying out inspections of some pharmaceutical distributors and government customers on suspicion of organizing the largest pharma cartel

FAS, with support from the law enforcement bodies, started inspections of Moscow pharmaceutical distributors: “Euroservice” CJSC, “Lancet” JSC and “Pharmstor” Ltd. that are suspected of organizing a cartel to supply medicines for treatment of oncological patients.

Simultaneously inspections of government parties are taking place in dozens of regions of the Russian Federation: regional Ministries of Healthcare, and oncological clinics, whose chief medical officers are suspected of bid-rigging collusions with cartel members.

During a scheduled on-site inspection, staff of “Lancet” JSC refused to give access to e-mail accounts of the company’s employees for the authorized FAS officers and did not provide access to the network resources of “Lancet” JSC.

Personnel of “Pharmstor” Ltd. switched off the servers in the course of an inspection and left their workplaces.
