REGULATORY AUTHORITIES WILL BE ABLE TO RECALCULATE THE TARIFFS IN SUBURBAN RAIL SERVICES

04-05-2020 | 01:41

The measure was taken in response to sharp decrease in passenger traffic

The Board of the FAS Russia approved amendments to the order No. 1649/171, which enable regional regulatory authorities to recalculate promptly the economically justified level of tariffs (EJLT) in suburban rail traffic in view of sharp decrease in passenger traffic. The EJLT indicator is needed for calculating reimbursement of carriers' expenses from budgets.

Rates for passengers are not changed.

The requirement to limit fare under the "inflation minus" formula is obligatory for each region.
