Companies distributed advertisements for tobacco heating systems for consumption of nicotine-containing products

Earlier, a citizen complained to FAS Russia about the distribution of advertising of a tobacco heating system for consumption of nicotine-containing products at the cashier of the Moscow store of the Miratorg retail chain.

In accordance with the Law on Advertising* it is not allowed to advertise tobacco, tobacco products, tobacco goods, nicotine-containing products, smoking accessories, including pipes, cigarette paper, lighters, as well as devices for consumption of nicotine-containing products and hookahs.

The Commission of FAS recognized the advertisement as improper and issued an order to the advertiser MUMT JSC and the advertising broadcaster Prodmir LLC to terminate the violation. Fines were also imposed on the companies.
