FAS INITIATED A CASE AGAINST YANDEX FOR DISTRIBUTING INAPPROPRIATE ADVERTISING

The company violated the ban on advertising services for writing final qualifying papers

Earlier, the Authority received a citizen's application with a complaint about the advertising of the organization "Work 5", which provided services for writing essays, term papers and theses. The advertisement was distributed in the search engine Yandex.

Advertising of services for the preparation of papers for passing the state scientific certification or exams in educational institutions is prohibited by law.*

The FAS Russia initiated a case on the grounds of a violation of the Law on Advertising against the advertiser "Work 5" and the advertising distributor Yandex LLC. In case of a violation, organizations will be brought to administrative responsibility in accordance with the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.
