27-03-2024 | 10:45

Earlier, the actions of the port restricted competition in the coal transshipment market

The FAS Russia established that Murmansk Commercial Sea Port JSC set different approval volumes of coal shipment to customers for its transshipment at the Murmansk seaport.

According to the FAS Russia, the actions of the seaport contained signs of abuse of dominant position* and restricted competition in the market for coal transshipment services. This created discriminatory conditions and could lead to infringement of enterprise’s interests using the port infrastructure.

The FAS Russia issued a warning to the organization to stop these actions.

As a result, the port provided equal conditions for the provisions of services and agreed to ship coal to economic entities for its transshipment in volumes determined by the terms of existing contracts.
