The FAS Russia cooperates with international organizations and foreign authorities in the sphere of the antimonopoly policy, combating unfair competition practices and governmental regulation of natural monopolies.

The international activity of the FAS Russia is focused on:


-          Contribution to integration of the Russian economy into the global economic area;


-          Realization of economic liabilities of the Russian Federation on issues, related to the competence of the FAS Russia;


-          Participation in development of conception of united European economic space;


-          Protection of Russian interests by participation in field-oriented international organizations;


-          Implementation of the best foreign experience to the Russian practice, advanced training of employees of the FAS Russia;


-          Preparation and realization of technical assistance from international organizations on behalf of the FAS Russia;


The Department for International Economic Cooperation conducts the international activity of the FAS Russia.

BRICS Steering Committee on Antimonopoly Policy approved creating Working Groups on IT and automotive markets
Representatives of competition authorities of BRICS member-states also studied an initiative to form BRICS Analytical Centre and reached arrangements to further analyze competition on the food markets and in the pharmaceutical sector

The Headquarters on Joint Investigations discussed the most pressing issues of developing competition
On 19th September 2017, the agenda of the 33rd session of the Headquarters for Joint Investigations of Violations of the Antimonopoly Law by the CIS member-states included, in particular competition on the market of medical equipment, aggregates production, economy residential housing, as well as specifics of control over economic concentration under digitalization of the economy

CIS Council of the Heads of Governments will consider an anti-cartel document
Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Tsyganov gave examples of anti-cartel cases investigated by FAS independently and in cooperation with the antimonopoly authorities of the CIS member-states. Information and data from international organizations, for example, OECD, were given to illustrate the importance of countering international cartels.
