Pskov OFAS helped regional agricultural producers

Pskov OFASexposed a violationcommitted by Pskov Regional Department of Agriculture when allocating grants for family livestock farms. The regional authorities gave the subsidies to the entities that were not entitled to get them. After OFAS intervention Pskov Regional Department of Agriculture was forced to eliminate the violation.

Upon an initiative put forward by Pskov OFAS, amendments were made to a Decree of Pskov Regional Authority determining the procedure for grantinggreen box by-hectare subsidies, which considerably expanded the ranges of subsidy-receivers.

Upon active work of OFAS aimed at ensuring competitive conditions in the course of giving subsidies and grants to agricultural producers, credibility of the Pskov OFASincreased dramatically among agricultural producers. The “Pskov Farmer” Association sent a letter of appreciation to FAS.
