Most public concerns relate to the housing-and-utility sector
This was the opinion of the teleconference of the Central Executive Committee of the “United Russia” all-Russian political party with Russian regions on 26 June.
The antimonopoly body was represented by Deputy Head of FAS Vitaly Korolev.
Participants saw the findings of monitoring growth of utility tariffs. According to Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Housing Policy and the Housing-and-Utility Sector, Alexander Sidyakin,the efforts will be ongoing in order to prevent increase of the index, that the costs of utility services can go up on, and that is estimated exclusively on the basis of inflation.
Participants assured that monitoring will be carried on the federal and regional as well as municipal levels.
Vitaly Korolev emphasized the need for further efficient cooperation between the federal executive authority and “United Russia” and encourages the party representatives in the regions of the Russian Federation to exchange information and expose violations in this filed so that that Antimonopoly Service can undertake relevant measures and suppress the violations.
Participants were gives the data of a poll conducted by VCIOM: in 2013 53% respondents considered the problems in the housing-and-utility sectorto be extremely acute. In 2015 already 72% respondents thought that the issues in the housing-and-utility sectorare being solved satisfactory.In six month the share of positive evaluations of the sector increased from 21% to 27%.

An analysis of the decisions on setting the maximum indices for changing the fee paid by the population for the housing-and-utility services showed that in most cases they fall within the targeted 4%.
