FAS remains in a good company
The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) once again confirmed its “Good” grade in the Rating Enforcement given by the Global Competition Review (GCR) international publishing house.
This year experts put FAS in line with the competition authorities from such countries as Sweden, Singapore, Finland, Switzerland, etc.
The Rating is the result of the annual survey of the efforts of global leaders among competition authorities. Only the leading competition authorities are included in the Rating, when their enforcement practice meets the high world standards.
The Rating is based on independent expert evaluation by representatives of foreign legal and business communities in accord with particular criteria devised by GCR.
The Rating uses a 5-score scale breaking competition authorities into the following groups by the number of scores (stars): Elite, Very Good, Good, and Satisfactory.
In 2014, GCR Rating Enforcement comprised only 36 competition authorities out of 145 that exist in the world. FAS has been included in the competition authorities evaluated by GCR since 2005.
This year GCR experts have especially praised the transparency of FAS actions in comparison with other authorities in Russia. According to one of the experts, based on personal experience FAS is one of the best government agencies in terms of transparency, openness, access to the staff, goodwill, observing the statutory deadlines and absence of corruption.
