“Apple Rus” executed a FAS warning

The company provided the services for repair (replacement) of screen modules on Apple smartphone models sold in Russia

Earlier FAS established that actions of “Apple Rus” Ltd. – the only supplier of Apple products to Russia have signs of violating Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”: failure to support use of Apple products (iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus) during the service life.

Based on this, FAS issued a warring with the deadline on 1 May 2017. The company was supposed provide servicesfor repair (replacement) of screen modules on Apple smartphone models sold in Russia.

Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Kashevarov stated after the FAS Commission: “The company promptly executed FAS warning. Now consumers have an opportunity to obtain the services for screen replacement, which is twice as cheap as replacing an old phone with the new one. We are satisfied with the work done by “Apple Rus” Ltd.”
