Andrey Tsyganov took part in a meeting of ICN Steering Committee in Paris
The Steering Committee of the International Competition Network (ICN) had a meeting in Paris (France).
The agenda included Action Plans submitted for approval of the Steering Committee; information on the work undertaken by ICN on advocacy and implementation in the recent period; cooperation between ICN and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The key item was the results of ICN Conference in Porto (Portugal) in May 2017. It is essential in terms of planning and preparing 2018 ICN Conference which will take place in New Delhi (India).
Andrey Tsyganov pointed out that meetings of the global competition community at ICN Conferences traditionally are organized to a high standard. These meetings enable antimonopoly bodies to not only exchange experience but also develop new practices.
“In 2017 the FAS delegation was very active at ICN Conference in Porto. The lessons learned by the event attendees following sessions on relationship with the authorities, public procurement cartels, and other aspects, form the foundation for future FAS efforts in the field of competition enforcement”, emphasized Andrey Tsyganov.
