Department for Regulation over Electric Power Industry

Accepting 2017 tariff applications for electric power is over. FAS started analyzing whether the offers comply with the fundamental pricing principles.

On 3 March 2016, the Head of FAS Department for Regulating the Fuel-and-Energy Complex, Dmitry Makhonin, discussed tariff regulation of gas at a workshop with representatives of FAS regional bodies and the Heads of tariff-setting executive bodies.

The statement was made by Deputy Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) Vitaly Korolev at the workshop on “Exercising powers in government regulation of prices (tariffs) for goods and services” on 3 March 2016.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service and its regional bodies are responsible for exercising control over compliance with the Information Disclosure Standards by participates of the wholesale and retail electric power markets (Clause 5.3.1.7. of the Regulations on the Federal Antimonopoly Service approved by No. 331 Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 30 June 2004).

On 10 January 2015 No. 450 Federal Law came into force, making changes to Article 232 of the Federal Law “On Electric Power Industry”
