Andrey Kashevarov: signs of violations in supply contract are revealed in 69 Russian regions
The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) summed up the intermediary results of monitoring enforcement of the amendment sot the Law on Trade
Under the order of the Government of the Russian Federation, FAS completed analyzing enforcement of the amendments to the Law on Trade that came into force on 15 July 2016. FAS verified supply contracts between retail chains and food products suppliers, concluded or renewed after 15 July 2016 and conformity to the Law on Trade and the antimonopoly law.
As of 10 March 2017, FAS regional Offices carried out 701 inspections of economic entities operating through organizing retail chains of the federal, regional (inter-regional) and municipal levels. Facts on signs of breaching the antimonopoly rules and the Law on Trade were exposed in 69 subjects of the Russian Federation.
Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Kashevarov emphasized: “We faces a task to establish the level of implementing the changes to the Law on Trade. For instance, from more than 11,000 contracts analyzed across all retail chains, 1261 violations were revealed, which is 11% of the total number of verified contracts. The results of a set of inspections retail chains and FAS will undertake measures to suppress them”.
