Andrey Tsarikovskiy on interaction between the authorities and business in the course of law-making
Virtually no novelty in the antimonopoly and related laws emerged without consultations with professional community
“FAS is interested in regulation that takes into account the interests of society, business and the authorities. For instance, virtually no novelty in the antimonopoly and related laws emerged without consultations with professional community”, pointed out Stats-Secretary, Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Tsarikovskiy in the course of the discussion “Law-making in the interests of business: cooperation with a positive sign” at St Petersburg International Legal Forum-2017.
He emphasized that the future of the dialogue between business and the authorities belongs to non-profit partnership and associations – commutators that balance the parties’ interests.
“FAS has multiple Expert Councils. I’d like to state that all were formed upon initiatives of professional communities. It is in such dialogues with professional lawyers and industry specialists that we reach the results. Through these efforts we can achieve the golden middle of regulation between the interests of a particular industry and the society in general”, concluded Andrey Tsarikovskiy.
