On 27 February 2015, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) fined cartel members that concluded an agreement in the course of a tender for fishing grounds for aquatic biological resources rearing for sale in internal sea waters of the Russian Federation and territorial waters of the Russian Federation in the Primorie region.

On 4 March 2015, the Federation Council approved the amendments to Article 178 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, according to which a person that took part in a cartel is relieved from criminal liability if this person is the first cartel participant who voluntarily reported about the violation, actively facilitated its exposure, compensated damages or otherwise made up the losses provided that the person’s actions do not have any other elements of crime.
