On 21st March 2013 Kommersant.ru published its “Rating of Corrupted Authorities”. The editorial stuff found the study, on the basis of which the material was prepared, unrepresentative, and the material later was removed from the web-site. Apologies were offered to the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia).

Speaking at the International Legal Forum in St Petersburg on 16th May 2013, at the session on “Competition Protection and Intellectual Property Protection: the Unity and Struggle of Opposites”, the Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia), Igor Artemiev, said that “antimonopoly regulation must be applied very carefully in the field of intellectual property”.

Speaking at the International Legal Forum in St Petersburg on 17th May 2013, the Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia), Igor Artemiev, proposed to his colleagues from the antimonopoly bodies of the European Union and the US to consider establishing an inter-government antimonopoly body, which would be similar to the Interpol.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) investigated a case against the Government of the Stavropol Region upon signs of violating the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” (Article 15) and the Federal Law “On Regulating Trading Activities” (Article 15).

On 16th May 2013, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) found that the Health Care Department of the Kemerovo region violated Part 3 Article 15 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”. The Department assigned the functions and rights of a regulatory state control body to an economic entity by approving the Statutes of the “Centre for Quality Control and Certification of Medicines” State Budgetary Health Institution.

On 14 - 16 May 2013 representatives of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) took part in a workshop on “Analysis and Procedures of Complex Mergers” organized in Budapest by OECD-Hungary Regional Competition Centre.
